Highland Lutheran Church is proud of their 142 years of servicing both here and abroad. The annual Fall Festival is almost as old as the church!
Proceeds benefit the Social Concerns Committee. The committee’s pooled funds go towards various needs of families and individuals.
- Over the past few years we have provided school cloths to local children, and assisted families with electric bills and/or rent.
- They have provided furniture, clothing and hotel rooms for several local families who lost their homes due to fires.
- Funds were also provided as a scholarship to a local high school graduate towards higher education.
- The committee sponsors two individuals in the Unbound organization whose mission is to support families and communities worldwide on their self-directed paths out of poverty.
